Maria Conserva

Maria Conserva is an Italian Painter Studio based in Apulia.

It is a dream world with blurred edges that the works of Maria Conserva introduce us to, an artist and writer out of internal necessity.

Her exhibition itinerary is very rich, winding along the entire peninsula and abroad, leading her to receive important appreciation from the public, critics and art historians including Vittorio Sgarbi and Giammarco Puntelli who will present the artist's works on Sunday 30 June at 6 pm in collaboration with the Ugo Guidi Museum, in the spaces of the Logos hotel.

Maria Conserva is recognized by critics as a highly refined artist, capable of combining undoubted drawing qualities with a perfect command of color.

The atmospheres of his paintings are dreamlike, fantastic, the contours blurred and the images constructed through soft but vibrant lines. Through his personal language he reinterprets, for example, the geometrization of Cézanne's still lifes, or the cubist geometric decomposition.

We cannot, therefore, fail to recognise, as already indicated by Vittorio Sgarbi, his acquisition of the post-impressionist lesson as the starting point of his language.

Her exhibition activity led her to obtain important recognition from the public and critics including Vittorio Sgarbi, who was responsible for the presentation and the critical text for the exhibition "Il viaggio" at the Miniaci Art Gallery in Milan in June of 2006.

Maria Conserva was recently awarded the first Edisport e l'Arte 2011 prize, the Spoleto Festival Art 2012 prize and the second prize The gift of humanity, art section in December 2012.
